Type 410, 430, 450
The Type 410, 430 and 450 are cable traction, on-board helicopter traverse systems. These semi-automatic traversing systems can lift on-board helicopters of the 12.5 t class, which can be moved with bow- or tailwheel.
As is absolutely necessary with cable pull systems (unlike the Type 110 or 210), the BHS-VA must be operated by more than one person. An operator is needed for the procedure, while others are needed in or onboard the helicopter.
FHS cable hoist systems allow landing angles of ± 30 ° from the longitudinal axis of the ship.
The main elements of the cable systems are the hydraulic power unit and the winches powered by the hydraulic pump. The control takes place via SPS. To operate the system, a mobile control unit is used, which can also be used as a stationary unit.
Types 410, 430 and 450 differ in the number of winches: the BHS-VA Type 410 has 3 winches, the Type 430 has 5 winches, and the most extensive system of the three is the BHS-VA 450 with 6 winches.
